FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we even touch the basketball I like to establish goals and a vision. This entails, having a conversation with you(parent) to know what you are looking for out of your child, their weakness and strengths, and what you would like to get out of our sessions. I then will have the same conversation with your child, to have their perspective and what they are looking to get out of it. Our first session will be an evaluation, where I will gage the players' skill set, provide feedback on what I think they are good at and what I believe we need to improve and how we will do so. Lastly, once we get the ball rolling, everything will be catered to the needs of the player to enhance and master their strengths and improve the identified weaknesses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played at the highest programs in our game since high school and as the younger brother of a 12 year NBA veteran, I have watched closely, some of the best players in our game develop and seen what it takes to reach that level. I attended Montverde Academy under an athletic scholarship. Known as the best high school program in the country, I played along the likes of Joel Embiid, D'angelo Russell, and many other NBA journeyman. As the 20th ranked class in the year 2013, I earned a Division I scholarship to UC Berkeley (Cal) where I played all four years (2013-17). I took part of the highest seeded Cal team and the first team to go undefeated at home in a season. As a professional, through hard purposeful work, I was able to go from averegaing a mere 1.55 ppg in college, to 10+ ppg and 5+ rbs in the NBA Gleague.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Being able to share my knowledge and inspire others who might have been looked over, to reach the level that I have been able to reach is what has inspire me to teach. I have coached youth basketball at every level throughout my playing career. From 2013-17 I worked Nike camps as a coach, teaching young Bay area players the basics of basketball. But the love for teaching didn't come until july of 2020. I was approach by a renown prep school here in LA area, to help their young players improve their shooting.
