That said, there's nothing wrong with giving a good customer a great deal. Again Mary, thank you, it's always a pleasure to work with you.

Thank you, Terry Like my grandmother always told me, "give a direct answer to a direct question." Adding value is the best part of my job. Let's say I sell you a computer at a price consistent with the market. You get your computer I earn a commission on the sale. Nice. What if we have a discussion first and I get an understanding of how you need to use the computer? How about I transfer your data for you? Make sure you are connecting to your networks and printing? And toss in some deskside support? This is the value I am able to add to the purchase of a new computer, for example. Terry, thanks again I've known you for a number of years and I'm really glad to be working with you.

Wow Toney, it's been that many years. Thank you for the compliment, as a professional in your own right you have methods of adding value to the services you provide. I just believe that there's more to it than selling the computer, removing the virus, fixing the network... for me it's about helping people develop their productivity with the technology they use.
