Introduction: Whatever the event, my number one concern is always to make sure that my clients are happy. One of the things I do in order to accomplish that is by always requesting two things (a music taste list and a day of schedule). A music taste list allows me to get a sense of what your music tastes are and leaving me with the creative freedom to pick and choose which songs to play, for how long, etc. Over the years, I've found this type of guidance to be an invaluable tool when preparing for an event. Vadim rocked it. He showed up on time, nicely dressed, and basically just got to work. The jazz mix he picked for dinner was spot on; during toasts he actually came out and stood the whole time by the monitor speaker he had set up, to make sure it stayed audible. We had a friend MC our event and Vadim worked really smoothly in the background, just keeping everything going unobtrusively. We only had about 2 hours of dance floor time and probably 10 or so must-play songs, but Vadim navigated it all gracefully, got through all of our must plays (some jazz/swing, some waltzes, some other miscellaneous stuff), and filled in the blanks in great and sometimes surprising ways. Overally, we and our guests had a lot of fun on the dance floor, and I would not hesitate to work with Vadim again.

Wow! DJ Vadim did such a great job for us at our September wedding in Calistoga. We had a somewhat international crowd and wanted to play music that they would know and appreciate and which was also very much our style. DJ Vadim spoke with me several times about the kind of mood and music we wanted; he listened to our input, used the songs we really wanted him to use and put together a beautiful playlist for dinner. I'm sure he does it all, but he did a great job with a jazzy-longue style mix. Everyone commented that the music was wonderful. The pace and transitions were right-on and the music was never too loud - but always intense. DJ Vadim gave the necessary announcements without corny and over-the-top commentaries and he weaved a somewhat bipolar song list into an amazing night. GREAT JOB!!
