A list of duties includes the following: * taking care of children * nonmedical care of elderly * cooking * light cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping up, and dishes) * medication reminders * keeping in touch with the elderly on off days (phone calls) * pet sitting * picking up from school * snacks * homework and activities with kids * grocery and other kinds of shopping * outings with elderly (movies, restaurants, libraries, malls, doctor's appointments, etc.) * over-the-weekend watch for children and the elderly (sleepovers) Rates are as follows: * full day: $60 * half day: $30 * full weekends: $100 (sleepovers) * full week, Monday-Friday: $225
