Introduction: Like many drum studios I have multiple drum kits for one-on-one instruction and I teach all of the go-to techniques from all of the standard teaching materials. What makes my studios stand out is the opportunity to learn first hand how to approach the instrument from a recording studio setting as well as a live setting. Along with techniques and musicianship you can learn mic-ing and mixing tips for recording drums. I teach Charting methods that will insure you learn songs quickly and correctly. I also offer aspects of instruction not found in many studios such as balance training, mental training, and pocket training. I also offer rhythm classes for musicians who don't play drums.
Seeing the look on my students face when they gain the confidence from learning a new concept or technique and now having the ability to apply that groove, technique, or concept. Helping them understand and apply their skills artfully and musically is the most fulfilling experience for me personally.
