What do you love about your job?
I love being a lawyer because of the opportunity it gives me to get to know different kinds of people all the time. Being a musician when I was younger, I've always been captivated by seeing life through the perspectives of the those around me. The legal issues faced by a wide range of individuals give a glimpse into human nature and thus, revealing personal life goals and fears. It gives me great satisfaction to understand my client's life situation and provide them with services and strategies that will help them to understand, navigate and resolve their present legal matter.
What or who inspired you to start your own business?
My father is a criminal defense attorney and he inspired me to become a lawyer. Growing up, I saw how he treated all of his clients with respect and how he always made an effort to understand his clients on a personal level. His willingness to put himself in someone else's shoes allowed him to have a huge impact on his clients, many of whom have since improved and lead better lives today. The example of my father's selfless camaraderie has driven me to help small business owners achieve their business goals, which in turn has a profound effects on their personal lives.
Describe your most memorable project.
My most memorable project was when I helped two aspiring writers and co-authors sign their first major deal with a production studio. Working on the project, I got to know both writers well and was able to help structure their writing arrangement together. I then negotiated a more favorable contract for them with the studio they were signing under. It made me very happy to help fellow creative people get one step closer to their dreams.
