As of June 2019 I'm currently the photographer for Public Storage, responsible for the photos of over 2400 locations.

When I was looking for a photographer to shoot my wedding, I did my full due diligence. I checked ALL of the review sites and interviewed all the big photographers in LA. I was even referred to so many talented photographers who did my friend's weddings. It's an exhaustive process but I wanted everything to be just right. A lot of money was spent on my dress, my husband's tux, the venue, catering, etc. I wanted someone who was as detailed oriented as I am, and had a vision on how to execute the shots. Finally I met Carl and his wife Desiree, and I had a good feeling right away. They were so friendly, funny, and professional. He was detailed about everything and let me know what we were going to get and when we were going to be receive it. One of the best things about their service is their price transparency. Almost all the photographers I checked out didn't have specific prices on their websites. They just say "starting at". I always felt like it was a shake down. But they were upfront about pricing and it was a steal for what they give you. They were our favorite vendors on the day of the wedding. They were interacting with our guests and all our family just loved them. I think they ran out of business cards by the end of the night. Carl just had a way of making us feel at ease in front of the camera because we never had a professional take photos of us before. We were hoping to find someone to make us feel relaxed in front of the camera, and they have a real gift of getting all of us to be ourselves and have fun. Our candids were amazing. The photos and the videos were breathtaking. I feel really lucky to stumble upon Carl and Desiree. They'll be shooting our baby shower when the time comes.

I met Desiree and Carl at my friends wedding earlier this year. I noticed them right away as soon as I arrived because they moved so quickly from one spot to the next. The thing that caught my eye was how they moved together. When one would photograph one angle, the other would always move at least at a 90 degree angle. Like crossfire. Then during the reception they were omnipresent and seemed to always be at the right spot during the key moments. When i saw my friends photos I knew they were the ones. My wedding was earlier this month and I just received my pictures. My husband and I are blown away. The way the documented the day exceeded everything I was expected. I immediately started crying when I saw the pictures of my mom and dad dancing during the reception. I didn’t even see it happen but they somehow photographed it within the large group on the dance floor. They were exceptional to work with. Very professional and also very friendly. I cant emphasize enough how easy going and happy they both were. It really made a huge difference when it came time to do our portraits because we were very comfortable around them. We totally trusted them and they they over delivered. They coached us in how to carry ourselves so we looked great in the pictures. My husband was so impressed by their creative lighting techniques and ability to get amazing shots. I’m so happy with my pictures and I have Live Art Photography to thank for it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our Thumbtack packages come with one photographer but can be upgraded to have another photographer and videographers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
While I do have an administrative team, you will speak directly with me to discuss the preparation leading up to your wedding. Most couples have never had a professional photo shoot before, let alone a photo shoot for their event. Whether you are shy or you love sharing selfies, I coach couples how to move in order to look candid. Good candids aren't a result of shooting a thousand shots, in the hopes of getting fifty good photos. These have to be prepped beforehand so that you can interact with your friends and family naturally, without me in your face on the day of your wedding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Carl's education is a B.S. in Chemistry from Cal Poly Pomona. Desiree's education is a B.S. in Biology from Cal Poly Pomona. Worked in reality television.
