The quiet, the wild, the in between moments, that weird face they won’t stop making, the playful glances, the way your hair rises with the wind, the pouts, the warm sun reflecting in all of our eyes, the different ways we love each other - the now, whatever the now may bring.
A camera has been in my hand since I was 13. I started taking pictures up noses and ears, laughing at the funny results, how the camera can alter reality. I've learned how to take flattering pictures over the years, no more nose shots I promise! But I still enjoy bringing a playful spirit to each shoot, letting the moment unfold with flexibility and patience. I absolutely adore what I do and hope to create images you will delight in for years to come.

Shannon was super responsive and friendly leading up to our shoot. We couldn't have been more happy with our photos (and there were many more than we expected). She was also patient with our very excited dog and captured some great actions shots.

Being the first photoshoot for our 7 month old, we were a bit concerned and skeptical, but Shannon was very patient and made us comfortable by not pushing us to do poses for the camera but rather capturing us in our natural flow..The final photos delivered were excellent ! We hope to work with Shannon again in future and also highly recommend her services..

Shannon was our excellent photographer for our wedding yesterday! She did such a great job at getting pictures of us but also of our whole family and that was really important to us to get tons of family photos. Shannon made a very special day even more special. She took proposal and engagement photos for me and was involved in the entire experience from beginning to end. Not being based in New York where I proposed it would've been impossible without her going the extra mile. She scouted the perfect location and took the perfect photos.

Shannon did a photo shoot for my husband who is running for re-election for public office. Working with her was such a wonderful experience that I referred her to several of my friends, one of which scheduled a portrait session with her for her online dating profile. She went from almost no emails with her old photos to an overflowing inbox! The photos were really beautiful and unique. Another friend of mine used her for family portraits and was so pleased with the results that she told Shannon that from this point forward, she was the official "family photographer".
When I accompanied my husband on his photo shoots (he had two different days/set-ups), I quickly realized that Shannon had an innate ability to make people feel comfortable behind the camera. Shannon's personality makes you feel so at ease, that you almost forget your getting your pictures taken. The sessions, surprisingly, were actually a lot of fun, and really put my husband at ease.
In the past, my husband has always been a bit awkward in posed photos, but Shannon's pictures captured his humor, his strength and his integrity. We were so pleased with the whole session that at the end of the last shoot, I went to kiss my husband for a job well done and Shannon started snapping away. The whole thing became really playful and we ended up with some lovely and hilarious photos of him sweeping me off my feet in a chamber that is usually only used for, let's say, "government business".
It is important to know that Shannon doesn't do traditional "portraits". You will not get a photo shoot with everybody in jeans and white shirts smiling at the camera on some sunstruck beach. Shannon captures those natural moments between the self-conscious poses, which make the photos so much more memorable and engaging. Finally, the business end of things went very smoothly too. She was very responsive and professional.
I cannot recommend Shannon enough. If we win this election, I'm sure Shannon's photos will have played a role in this victory:)
