Andre has been a great guitar teacher for me. For one thing, he's versed in lots of styles of guitar and knows a lot about music theory so I can always count on him to teach me what I want to learn. More importantly, he's really supportive in teaching me what I want to learn in ways that work for me--He's so different from the "you must practice scales for hours a day to be a valid musician" trope that I've personally experienced with other teachers. I really like that he doesn't just explain how to play songs I like but how they work and why they sound good. Finally, Andre just brings an enthusiastic, lively energy to lessons that feels so engaging and invigorating. I've been taking lessons from him for a few months now and I highly, highly recommend him for anybody wanting to learn guitar or take it to the next level :)

Andre has been a great guitar instructor to my pre-teen Max. He has been learning a lot of songs. We had switched from Max’s old instructor because we had seen his interest was waning but now taking lessons with Andre, Max can’t put the guitar down. Highly recommend!!
