Introduction: I’ve played guitar for over 25 years, taught for over 10, and studied with some of the world’s most respected guitarists along the way. My focus is on the mechanics of playing guitar. Some teachers like to wax poetic about “feeling the music” or “accessing your inner musician.” That’s fine, and truth be told there’s a place for that. But if you don’t know the specifics of how your hands work to produce sound on the instrument, there aren’t enough “good vibes” in the universe to help you play your favorite song.
That’s the difference you’ll get with me. I’ll break down in exquisite detail all the physical aspects of playing and make sure you’re approaching everything in the most efficient and ergonomic way possible.
Let’s get to work!
**PLEASE NOTE** I live in Los Angeles, CA so depending on your location, lessons may only be available via Skype or Zoom.
Also, I always offer a free trial lesson, in case you are skeptical about webcam lessons (I get it... I was too!). But despite the initial awkwardness of not being in the room together, I think you’ll find them to be just as effective as in-person lessons.
In short, please don’t let our distance deter you. I’d love to work with you!
