Jessica had a hard task with the complexity of the design needs of our multiple living spaces and working with my partner and I differences with cost. She had to find a solution and meet price points we set for our 80s remodel. She fulfilled our request and waited on us during a pause we took to figure funding and finding a contractor. She has a range of cost for our affordability on various design options to make our vision a reality. Once our build is completed we’ll post photos.

Details: Design of 1 - 2 rooms • Kitchen • 500 - 1,000 sq ft • Space planning / layout • Color palette / paint selection • Lighting selection • Window treatments selection • Flooring selection • Accessories / art selection • Eclectic • Rustic / Southwestern • Craftsman / Farmhouse • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

I can't imagine what the process of renovating our home, and especially our bathroom would have been like without working with Jessica as a designer! From picking out paint colors, the stain of the hardwood floors, roman shades throughout the many windows of the house, and designing an absolutely beautiful bathroom, Jessica had a great vision of what our house could be and delivered - we love it! One of our favorite aspects of Jessica's design work was really appreciating the historic nature of our home (a Victorian house from 1886) and incorporating existing aspects throughout the house in her design for our newer updates. She designed the custom vanity for the bathroom inspired by the wood paneling that existed in other various rooms of the house, and it led to a truly unique and beautiful piece that ties the overall design throughout the house together! In regards to the bathroom, this being an old house, the layout was challenging in order to maximize space as well as give us the features we wanted - Jessica worked with us to show a few different options in order to ensure we ended up with the best layout, and we are very happy with how it turned out! The selection of the materials throughout the house (tiles, countertops, fixtures, paint colors, stains, fabric for curtains) was all great to have her expertise on - they all tie together so well for a timeless look in our home! She was also communicative throughout the whole process and great at keeping us and our contractor in the loop on status updates. We are so happy with the classic, yet unique aspects of our home thanks to Jessica's design. Thank you!

Working with Jessica was an absolute pleasure. I asked her to help me design and decorate my home and I couldn't be happier with the results. I asked her to work in all the rooms of my house (except kitchen and bathrooms) creating floor plans, helping me choose new furniture, art and accessories, and deciding which old furniture to keep. Jessica was extremely professional, I LOVED her design ideas, and was very impressed by her responsiveness and gorgeous design aesthetic. Given that we started working during the pandemic, we met via zoom and did all of our work online. We had several virtual meetings to discuss my ideas and needs for the house and explain my budgetary constraints. Jessica really listened to me and created very clear and tasteful floor plans with wonderful Pinterest boards for finding alternatives for every piece of furniture and accessory she suggested. Besides having a beautiful design esthetic, she made sure I was happy with the results and gracefully answered all my follow-up questions when I needed more guidance. I liked working with her so much, that I extended our original contract to include an additional area of the house for her to design and decorate! Jessica was super responsive and extremely nice. Besides creating floor plans for all the rooms, she also helped me select paint & flooring, arranging everything with the providers so I could get free samples and estimates sent to my home. Working with her was the best investment we ever made! Her expertise and guidance worth every cent! Having Jessica help me decide the look of my house made the move to a new home much less stressful and actually enjoyable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for design guidance. You will love her style, expertise, and kind demeanor. Thank you Jessica!!!!

Jessica has been helping us with updating our 10-year old home. Most recently, we have been working on our bedroom. She was very responsive to the look we were wanting and provided us with choices that were affordable, attractive and included our vision. She really has an eye for design and made our life so much easier. We are still working on accessories but here is a picture of the bedroom so far. So grateful for her help!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge hourly, and give the client an estimated number of hours for the project before starting.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Have a phone call and get details on the scope of work. I love being as transparent as possible, and explaining to the client my design process and what to expect step by step.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture, so I have a strength in looking at spaces three dimensionally. This means I am a very strong space planner, and seeing how lighting and ceiling elements relate to whats going on below. I am also LEED certified and source furniture and materials sustainably when possible.
