FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The exact amount is dependent on the specific math subject and the number of days being paid for in advance. I provide discounted rates when a client purchases a "bundle" fee for multiple sessions at once. In person sessions could cost more, depending on my travel distance. My fee includes the student's ability to email me questions about the topics discussed in the session for no extra cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is important to me to first talk with the client so we can understand the client's goals as well as decide on a reasonable time frame in which to expect the desired results. This is done through a virtual meeting or phone call between the parent and/or student and myself (at no cost to the client).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, graduating magna cum laude. I am also certified by the National Tutoring Association (NTA) as an advanced level professional tutor. The NTA is the oldest and largest professional association devoted to tutors, and their certification requires hours of workshops, seminars, and tests, as well as a background check.
