FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
"First and foremost, avoid gimmicks, workout fads, or 'pop' advice on what works and what doesn't. Realize that it's hard to get people to train or workout. As a result, a lot of training is sold as being "fun", and for a lot of other reasons most training is not very effective. To make it effective would scare away a lot of customers. So to start, you have to get down to really wanting to train and then it's easier to find what will work for it. Look for a trainer who also knows how to coach - to teach, as it's really just teaching. Most trainers want to just tell you what to do - 1-2-3-4 - and not have you understand WHY and what will be the result. This is because they want you to totally depend on them and because they figure most people don't care to understand. But it's very important to understand what you know because it will enable you to really customize your training and know what will really work in the long run, and to know how to make changes when it's needed. Also look for a trainer that actually lives what they train. See the results through them, and let that help inspire your training."
