Skip edited and critiqued my screenplay. I am new to screenwriting and he not only provided on point critical feedback, but provided materials to fill in some educational background gaps.
My writing improved from being someone who had big ideas for tv and films to actually having a pragmatic plan writing those ideas into reality. From bi-weekly meetings we started with my premise line. Then as the months went by we worked on my beat sheet which was strengthened into a feature length screenplay I am working on right now. I was surprised at the independence and growth I gained from working with Amy. She would look at the beginning of the year with me via video conferencing and emails, listen to my goals (i.e. I want to build a screenwriting portfolio that consists of a tv spec, original pilot and a feature length screenplay) and she would break down the weeks with sizable writing exercises that would piece together my screenplay and tv script pieces. I feel great inspiration from watching movies and want to produce movies that move others as well..but sometimes you need a "coach" to help you get from Point A to Z. Starting a writing project can be daunting and it's difficult to "get your sneakers on, tie the laces and start running." I now feel empowered with the tools to produce my stories from conception to screen. I have already finished a tv spec, pilot, essays and working on a feature length screenplay. The main thing Amy has taught me as a writer is the balance between the artistic process as well as being successful in the industry. That honing the artistic process and building a strong body of work will attract the industry professionals that will want to work with me. She does a trustworthy job of moving both these processes simultaneously. Like most artists I juggle a lot. I have a day job, I am an actor who works on various shoots, takes classes and auditions for big opportunities all while working with Amy to realize my dream of becoming a show runner and director where screenwriting will be a vital tool. Amy has a gift for tailor making a program that fits the unique individual. Despite my very busy schedule, her efficient and tailor made syllabus has encouraged me to write regularly, little by little a day which has added up to a strong writing portfolio.
I was very pleased with Erin and Award Winning Screenwriters. Most impressive was how responsive Erin was. The project stayed right to the timeline she promised. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism of both Erin and my partnered writer.
I hired Michael Tabb to write a feature film adaptation of Robert E. Howard's novela "Vultures" when I was at Paradox Entertainment. Michael wrote a fantastic script for us. He showed great ability in distilling information from multiple producers, delivering exactly what they asked him for, and provided unique ideas that took the project to an entirely new level. Michael is a pleasure to work with and is the ultimate collaborator. I admire his passion for screenwriting and think he brings the goods on every project. I'd recommend him anytime. Brian has been invaluable to me for upwards of five years as a script reader and workshopping partner on many scripts (both feature and pilot). His notes are exceptionally thorough and detailed - he is enthusiastic in articulating strengths in the work and constructive and clear in his critique. I've not yet met a reader who gives more detailed and thorough critique in such a short amount of time - notes are generally returned to me within 24-48 hours, sometimes shorter. Brian's extensive education in screenwriting along with his professional work are merits enough on their own, but it is the incredible working relationship he provides that keeps him on the top of my list when I need eyes on a draft.
David was a pleasure to work with. He is an extremely talented writer and would definitely recommend working with him. His creative screenwriting is some of the best I've read, and I got everything I was looking for in a writer!

We don't give notes. We deliver the script! What do Tim Burton, Wes Anderson, and Martin Scorsese have in common? They began their careers making short films. What does a great short film do? 1) Grabs attention 2) Creates an emotion 3) Leaves viewers with a story they cant stop thinking about for days The harmony of these three elements is called a GREAT SHORT SCRIPT. Problem. You cant write. Guess what? Many great directors cant either. Ridley Scott, David Fincher, and Alfred Hitchcock never wrote a screenplay in their brilliant lives. How did they bypass this obstacle? They had their visions translated into screenplay form by a professional screenwriter; or a person the studios pay 6 figures to hone big ideas into three act structures. You too have an idea, an inspiration, a vision if only these ideas were a taut 10-15 pages of vibrant characters, juicy dialogue, and visual perfection. You can then begin the process of shooting your masterpiece. If only, like David Fincher, you too could hire a pro to convert your inspiration into a cinematic blue print Well, your prayer has been answered. You can hire a pro. Were the Short Script Gods. Professional screenwriters who specialize in the short film format. We do not charge 6 figures. We will write your accolade-winning short that will have everyone seeing you the way you always saw yourself as the next Paul Thomas Anderson, Kathryn Bigelow or Steven Spielberg (all three also began their careers with a short). Start short. Grow tall.

I am a screenwriter and and novelist. I have written my works in many different genres. Although I have only been at this for a relatively short time, I have been making some in-roads into the film industry. The film for my screenplay, "The Good Adoption," is being made into a film and is nearing pre-production. Another screenplay, "Not Since the Toothbrush," is gaining financial backing. My screenplay, "Daria" is a finalist in the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Screenplay competition 2011. "Fear Center" was a semi-finalist at the Script Pipeline Screenplay competition of 2011. On the creative side, I know the techniques that make for a successful screenplay--appropriate dialog, use of subtext and foreshadowing, conflict, dramatic element, character and plot development and resolution. On the technical side, I understand the format, style, size and structure necessary to meet industry standards. I have written three novels and have novelized two of my screenplays. I have also adapted a book for the big screen -- von Goethe's "The Sorrows of Young Werther." I am a full time writer, dividing my time between my own work and client projects. For my client work, I provide professional deliverables in a timely manner. I always maintain an open line of communications with my clients to ensure that the results are what they want and expect and I work well in a collaborative effort. When working with clients, I offer my advice if I feel a scene or story segment is not cinematic or if there are gaps or implausibilities in the plot. However, my client always has the final say. I appreciate any opportunities you may have for me.
