Introduction: Playing violin for most of my life, and teaching for 8 years, I have worked with teaching students ranging from 4 years old to adults, specializing in improvisation and helping students discover their own voice. In addition to classical training, I have taught and performed bluegrass and old-time fiddle, Middle Eastern music, jazz, rock, and Celtic music. I celebrate the diversity of music the violin is capable of making and utilize that same spirit of improvisation and creativity in finding just the right trick to getting to the next stage along your musical journey. I love connecting with people and showing how music can enrich their lives, having fun sharring music toghether, and helping people make the empowering journey to discover how difficult skill can become a part of them over time.

Michael is terrific! We were looking for a teacher to work with our 8 year old son while we were visiting LA for the month. Michael is amazing at inspiring and engaging our son. Our son was so excited after his lesson we happily booked Michael for 3 lessons a week for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend!
