Lisa has been amazing! As a beginner to singing, I wasn’t sure where to start with voice lessons. Lisa met me where I was at, and has helped me to grow, and heal through trauma work as well. And it’s fun! Thank you Lisa!

Lisa is very friendly and my daughter absolutely loved her! She learned a lot in her first lesson and loved how Lisa kept on track, no matter the conversation topic. My daughter can relate to Lisa a lot, from music tastes to life experiences, and Lisa is very good at handling students with stage fright. Overall 10/10!!!

After only one lesson with Lisa, I have already noticed a difference in my confidence approaching singing! They are absolutely amazing and make me feel comfortable while trying things I am normally very anxious about when it comes to my voice. I cannot recommend Lisa enough!!

I love singing and want to improve. I was nervous when my first session began, but my nervousness went away so fast because Lisa is knowledgeable, professional and personable. She taught me a lot and I had fun while learning.

Lisa is an incredible coach and teacher. Not only she has a deep knowledge of body and voice, but she also teaches with grace. I struggled with my voice for years — I was traumatized as a child and had been uncomfortable with my voice ever since. Lisa took a holistic approach with me. She gauged where I was emotionally and psychologically at first, and based on that, she created a lesson specifically curated for me. Even with a few classes, I can see the difference in my singing ability and confidence. Lisa is a strong communicator. She listens well, shows empathy, and has patience which are great qualities of a teacher. Thank you again, Lisa, you are so talented!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Scheduling, payments, and resources are streamlined on my website for ease and simplicity; this way, we can put all of our energies into our work together. I have found a subscription-based platform to be the most efficient and enjoyable process. (See photos for more details!) With your subscription, you get: • $10 off per lesson • Client portal with personalized folder of resources • Access to expanding library of warm-ups and tutorials I offer weekly, bi-weekly, and bi-monthly subscription plans for all time durations. See next FAQ for New Client discount.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer 50% off your first 60-min session so that you can get a feel if we are a good fit. 1. The first part of that session is spent as a consultation. I get to know your goals, experience, and perspectives and then plan our sessions tailored to what I learn. 2. Then, I hear you sing! I'll have you come with your favorite song to sing for me so that I can get a feel for your style, strengths, and points of improvement. 3. We'll warm-up your voice, explore your range, establish shared language basic technique. Once we meet and you try out the subscription for a week, you will have the option to cancel your subscription or continue at the regularly reduced rate. The frequency of sessions is a matter of client/parent preference and depends on the depth and detail you or your child has the bandwidth to go into. The standard is once a week for people pursuing consistent growth.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My MFA training as an artist was with USC School of Dramatic Arts' graduate acting program. It was here that I learned voice-work by way of Linklater Technique, advanced Jerzy Grotowski movement exploration, and the well-acclaimed Alexander Technique for presence and breath support, all from international master teachers of each subject. I received my 200RYT certification through the Mazé Method. Here I studied under the world-renowned Noah Mazé, and his collaborator Rocky Heron. My trauma-informed training was with Exhale to Inhale, a company founded in honor of survivors to provide a powerful resource for healing from trauma to survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault.
