JJ and I have started an intense workout regimen that quite frankly is kicking my a@%... but is exactly what I need to get back into shape both in muscle tone and cardiovascular stamina. He is at once approachable and friendly, he doesn't shout but will hold you to pushing yourself as far as you can go, and then a little more. If you are committed to getting into shape, I HIGHLY recommend meeting up with JJ. He is also extremely knowledgeable regarding nutrition and will literally answer any nutrition questions I have as often as I have them throughout the day via text in a very quick manner. I also really love the variety of workouts he has led me through: weigh training, intense cardio, interval training, boxing/martial arts... I'm pretty convinced he can do anything. Three things you should know: 1. You will sweat... a lot! 2. You will be sore... really sore. 3. You will have a good time through it.
Most amazing guy to work with. Very friendly, patient and focus on the details. Love the teaching pace that he has for us. We also have him teaches four of our daughters. It been around 10 appointments so far and never once he was late. Very punctual and professional. So excited and can't wait to get to the real stuff. Gonna snap a photo with you next time to put it on here :) Kenneth & Sheila
Marcus has been my trainer for almost 4 yrs. My initial goal with him was to learn kickboxing as a beginner. During this journey, Marcus has taken me beyond any goals or aspirations I had imagined. He has expanded my learning from just kickboxing techniques to cardio and strength training. I am not a fighter; I take kickboxing lessons to learn something new. Marcus challanges me both physically and mentally. It is not just a physical workout, he also teaches me to strive to accomplish things I never knew I could do. Marcus has both the education and experience to be a great trainer. He knows how to customize learning techniques to each individuals needs. You will not just get a great workout, but you will achieve a sense of accomplishment.
Mr Hall came into my studio to give a self defense demonstration to my students. The lesson was educational and very detailed. He did an excellent job explaining the concept of each applications. I walked away learning quite a bit in only 1 session.
Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense is a representation of unbridled professionalism in every sense of the word. While other schools of martial arts may focus on basics, sparring, or endurance testing, Master Bob's versatile knowledge of varying styles combines to create a more extensive and practical understanding of modern self-defense, as well as a better method of learning and practicing the martial arts. With an extensive knowledge of kinesiology, Master Bombalier has the unparalleled ability to fine tune your self defense training to a personal level. Robert Bombalier's teaching style instills lessons of respect, discipline, and beneficial personal development through all aspects of life. For me, starting off with martial arts as a young child, and continuing to study the ways of self defense into young adulthood, I can certainly say that Master Bombalier's influence and guidance in my training remains impeccably beneficial. For example, an extensive amount of my training went into dealing with anxiety, controlling fear, and handling my day to day struggles with asthma, of which all I have been given the chance to manage thanks to his service. In my time with Master Bob, I have watched as people from all walks of life come together to learn how to strengthen themselves in the realms of self defense, prepare themselves in case of emergency, and most importantly better themselves in the process under the guidance and instruction of this professional martial artist. Martial arts requires key, inherent characteristics of those in participation including effort, etiquette, character, sincerity, and self-control, and no-one I have ever studied under embodies these beneficial qualities more than Master Robert Bombalier of Absolute Self Defense.
Miguel is a cool guy to get to know, and he is also a very proficient JKD instructor. He works with you and tailors lessons to your interests, but also in a structured way to ensure continuous progress. He is keen to also not give you too much at one time, and to ensure that you have proper forms/techniques down. While the progress can be exponential, it is this personal attention that ensures you don’t build ineffective techniques/forms early on. He will hold you accountable to practice, but is also helpful and responsive with communicating and recommending proper resources/videos. One on one instruction is the best, and Miguel is tops.
My son started at American Kenpo Karate approx. 15 mo. ago and he loves it! He enjoys his group instructor and his private instructor. He looks forward to his days at karate. Thanks Kenpo staff!
Sensei Ali Jafari is an excellent martial art trainer. He has been my martial art instructor for the past twenty years during which not only I have learned karate techniques and instructions, I have also learned many life lessons from him. His patience, enthusiasm, and willing to teach are among many positive qualities that he demonstrates on a consistent basis. He is exceptionally patient with children and individuals who may not learn as quickly as other student. Sensei Jafai is is extremely knowledgeable in Shotkan Karate, Taekwondo, and using weapons in martial art. Sensei Jafari always brings energy and positive attitude to the class. He often finds a balance between paying attention individually to the highest ranked students as well as the lowest rank person. Sensei Jafari is very observant and cares about every individuals progress. He is well informed about what specific and detail areas a student needs to work on in order to be successful in Karate and other areas of life.
Erik is one of the best teachers of karate that one can find. Even though I have moved a number of times out of the area, I still come to Victory Karate for my training. For the intense workouts, the discipline and commitment to excellence, It's worth it.

I am passionate about teaching and about the material I am teaching. I also have flexible hours and offer fairer prices than most other instructors as I put teaching and developing a positive group of students over profit. I love the aspect of teaching and instructing which is why I became an education and human development major in college. I also hold a passion for my martial arts that I dedicated over ten years of my life to.
I personalize your lesson to what is best for you and I make it fun.. I love to teach
I create a very healing yoga experience for my clients utilizing therapeutic spiritual music, ecstatic dance and guided visualizations. Clients leave my classes feeling uplifted and rejuvenated. Healing has been a part of my life since I was born. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing my students grow and thrive as a result of working with me.
I provide Swedish and deep tissue massage for one hour. I incorporate stretching and light yoga techniques in my sessions. I also provide judo coaching. It's a fun and challenging way to get physically fit while learning some cool self-defense techniques.
I have been self defense teacher for United Studios and a professional martial artist for many years, both as a kids and adults teacher. I specialise in communications so I can teach in ways nobody else can. But I teach more than martial arts. I also teach how to properly use electronics that people don't usually know how to utilize to the best that the manufacturer meant it to be capable of. That includes teaching photography, computer and tablet lessons, and more. Nothing more exciting than watching a human being achieve something they didn't think was possible.
