Gary the Tennis Guy

Tennis is my passion and I would really enjoy giving you lessons! I have been playing tennis for 40+ years. I am a member of the USTA (United States Tennis Association) and have played in USTA league tennis for 30+ years. This includes 5 trips to USTA National level playoffs. Currently, I am the Head Tennis Coach at an east bay high school. I coach both the boy’s and girl’s teams. In addition, I run a tennis camp for 4 - 8 grade students each summer. I am a Certified Professional of the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association). USPTA certification requires extensive testing of an applicants knowledge of tennis, coaching ability, and personal playing skills. I teach tennis to adults and children of all ages and abilities. I have worked with players with little or no tennis experience to tournament level players. A typical lesson will focus on teaching proper stroke mechanics, good footwork, strategy, and creating a fun and positive environment.
