Introduction: The college admissions and application process can be both difficult and mystifying, but I'm here to help! I'm Eva, a certified college adviser with a B.A. from Harvard and a certificate in college admissions advising from UC Berkeley. Over the years, I have worked as a Harvard admissions aide and interviewer, edited hundreds of application essays, and served as a college admissions speaker at local high schools and community education programs. I'm also the founder of PrepPoint Education. My students have gone on to attend a wide range of public and private universities throughout California and the U.S., including highly competitive ones such as Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and many more. CLIENT FEEDBACK "I just wanted to say, thank you so much for helping me. I was accepted to both Princeton and Harvard, and I plan on attending Harvard!" - Jelena "Eva is an outstanding instructor; with her assistance, our daughter was able to dig deep and write truly memorable college essays which helped her gain acceptance to her first-choice school, Brown University." - Prudence "Thank you so much for your help with my application process. Your help was invaluable. I was accepted to a number of schools that I thought were a reach for me. From interview skills to essay polishing, you were integral to my application presentation. I now have the nice problem of deciding where to go because I didn't realize I would have so many choices." - William BETTER OUTCOMES, EASIER PROCESS As an advisor, my goal is to help you achieve better outcomes while making the process easier for you. Throughout the process, I can provide clarity and structure, offer expert advice, resolve unanswered questions, direct you to the resources you actually need, and even serve as a much-needed buffer between stressed-out students and parents. Working via phone, email, IM, Skype, and in-person visits (depending on location) I can help you: * Understand the process. What do colleges look for in an applicant? How can you make yourself a stronger candidate? What needs to happen, and when? * Explore your options. Which colleges might be a good fit for you? How can you learn more about these schools? What should you look for during a college visit? * Perfect your applications. How do you make your admissions essays shine? How should you prepare for the interview? How exactly do you fill out the application? As we work together, the focus and level of involvement is up to you. Some families work closely with me from start to finish. Others call periodically with questions as they arise. Still others focus on a particular aspect of the process such as the admissions essay, one of my specialties. Again, it's up to you. I offer the option of both "a la carte" hours and discounted packages. You're welcome to contact me for a complimentary 15-minute consultation, during which we'll discuss your situation and see if there's a match. I look forward to hearing from you!

Our daughter is basically an "A" student, but is not strong in math and is generally not a great test taker. We were very worried about the SATs and college admissions. First she took Eva's SAT Prep class, which really helped her understand what to do on the test, and helped her achieve a high enough score to be in the range of some top schools. Which was a relief -- we were really worried that she would not be able to score high enough on the SATs to even be considered at some of the UCs and private universities she was considering. Then we hired Eva directly to help my daughter with her college essays. At first my daughter resisted, but by the end of the process, she told us that Eva had helped tremendously. She said that Eva brought a unique perspective to the essays that she felt helped give her an advantage. My daughter got accepted at almost every school she applied to. She will be attending UC Davis in the Fall and is thrilled. Our younger daughter is a high school junior. I will definitely send her to Eva's SAT Prep class and plan to hire her to help with the essays. I have recommended Eva's company to several of my friends. Needless to say, I've been very happy with Prep Point and I recommend Eva and her company without hesitation.

Eva has been a great college counselor working with my daughter who just finished submitting all her applications. Eva was great at providing the support while paying attention to my daughter's hectic school schedule and her stress level. Once the school list was finalized, Eva and my daughter agreed on a schedule to complete all the required essays and they pretty much managed the process together with a very little intervention from us parents. She tracked her time spent with my daughter in minutes and kept us informed of her hours throughout the process. Eva was helpful, supportive, available, efficient and effective. We would be more than happy to recommend her to other parents!
