I am not from the San Diego area and I needed an architect/designer/draftsman so I could do a complete remodel of an existing 1970's high rise condo unit. Pete was a pleasure to deal with and the project (at least planning and permitting) is done. I am now under construction and Pete is happy and prompt to answer my calls when I have or the general contractor has a question or need. I am from a construction materials background and I am currently a consultant in the stucco industry. Pete has a very good understanding of buildings and construction. During the process of design, we were able to locate the original plans. There aren't many people that can unroll a large set of plans and what they are looking at nor where to find details. I am a Certified Construction Document Technologist in the Construction Specification Institute and I am one of those people too. Needless to say it got us off to a great start. Pete was able to get the plans through the City of San Diego Building Department in ONE DAY over the counter. Pete is accurate, prompt and a gem. You would be crazy not to hire him. Worked with Peter on plans for a granny flat behind our existing home in CA, while we were living overseas. Peter produced several high quality options and then final construction and permit documents based on our selections. All of his products were delivered in a timely manner via the Internet. He worked with the city planning department to resolve questions, again while we were out of the country. Construction is almost complete and we are very pleased with the design, the lack of hassles from our City and the lack of significant questions from the builder. We look forward to using Peter on our upcoming home renovation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you are comfortable with your provider. Remember, when you first meet a provider they are on their best behavior. If you have any qualms about them, you should ask and make sure you are comfortable with the answers. If the "Honeymoon" period leaves you uncomfortable, just think how you will feel once you sign a contract.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers realized how invested I become in their projects. Besides the actual time spent on site, my mind is on their projects constantly.
