Tessa, of Elmwood Images, was incredibly helpful and made us feel comfortable the whole time we worked with her to get our engagement photos. We wanted sunset pictures in the middle of the forest of a back road. Tessa was more than happy to travel out of the way to get them for us. My husband and I are super awkward when we are put in the spotlight and she was so good at joking around with us while snapping the perfect carefree pictures. She got us to relax enough for her to snap the perfect sunset images that captured our casual style in a romantic way. They turned into beautiful invitations! I would wholeheartedly refer Elmwood Images for all your photo needs. We will definitely book with her again.

Tessa was awesome! She photographed our wedding in South Lake Tahoe and she was wonderful to work with and took some absolutely beautiful pictures. She did a great job of helping us get the pictures we wanted but also was considerate of us wanting to get to the reception with our friends and family. She even went above and beyond and stayed longer than we had reserved her for because she was enjoying capturing the event. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible, I have a baseline price sheet of what is most common when it comes to expenses. I offer discounts for all first responders, nurses, teachers, and cancer survivors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my customers first to make sure we are a good fit. I listen to their expectations of a photographer and if I feel like I cannot meet those expectations or if my style is not compatible I try to get them in contact with someone who does.
I like to meet in person or on video chat so I can hear about the event and discuss the process and service contract. It helps to get to know the customer so they can feel comfortable with you before you spend time photographing them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mostly self taught when it comes to photography, I have taken some college level courses in editing and graphic design as well which helped me hone my editing skills.
