He’s very responsive and patient to my inquiries and answer my questions promptly. He is very professional even though later on I find out I probably need to hire a roofer to repair the roof first before doing the carpentry work. But I would definitely hire him if I need to do framing work in the future.

We hired Richard for basic framing work at our house.
He had excuses every week for not showing up to work. And each time he showed up the work was not satisfactory.
His poor performance issue resulted in many other problems on the project including delays in rough electrical and plumbing which needed to be redone due to incorrect and non compliant framing. Despite expressing our concerns to him regarding these incorrect framings, there was not any attempt on his part to address the issues .
He is licensed which is why we hired him but His framing quality is terrible. Nothing is to code. We had to pay someone else to fix the issues.
He kept asking for more money throughout the process and we paid him (our mistake)
I paid ahead for trash to be removed but he never took the trash.
He never finished his work and promised to come back and finish/fix but never did.
He is still holding my house keys. We had to change the locks.
I would not recommend him to anyone.
