FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private golf instruction is $125 per hour. For students who want to make a longer-term commitment to improving their game, I offer discounted lesson packages: Single lesson: $125 5-lesson package: $500 ($100 per lesson) 10-lesson package: $900 ($90 per lesson) My lesson packages are transferable and may be shared with family members or friends. My goal is to provide exceptional, individualized instruction at a reasonable price, whether you're a beginner, recreational golfer, or competitive player.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by getting to know the student, understanding their golfing experience, and identifying their goals. Whether someone is picking up a golf club for the first time or preparing for competitive tournament play, every student brings different abilities, expectations, and learning styles. I evaluate their current skills, including swing mechanics, fundamentals, and overall understanding of the game. From there, we develop an individualized improvement plan. My coaching emphasizes sound biomechanics, effective practice habits, course management, and the mental aspects of performance. I believe that lasting improvement comes from understanding not just what to do, but why we're doing it. My objective is to help students become more knowledgeable, confident, and self-sufficient golfers.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PGA Professional, a certified Master Golf Instructor, and a former professional touring player with 11 years of experience competing on the Asian Tour. My background combines decades of competitive golf, professional instruction, and the continuing study of golf biomechanics, motor learning, and performance psychology. My coaching philosophy draws upon the work of leading researchers and instructors in golf biomechanics, skill acquisition, and mental performance. I incorporate modern technology, including FlightScope, TrackMan, and other training systems, when appropriate to help students better understand their performance. Having experienced the demands of professional tournament golf firsthand, I bring a perspective that extends beyond swing mechanics to include course management, decision-making, preparation, and the mental skills necessary to perform under pressure. I believe that an effective coach must remain a student of the game. Continuing education and a willingness to embrace new research are essential parts of my teaching philosophy.
