Coach Paulo Nakashigue is a dedicated soccer coach with a passion for helping players grow and succeed. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Paulo has been surrounded by the beautiful game his entire life. From playing on the streets with friends to competing at the professional level, soccer has imparted valuable lessons about hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. Paulo's playing career includes stints with various academy and professional teams in Brazil, as well as participation in youth tournaments across Europe. His journey eventually took him to the United States, where he played college soccer and experienced a new style of play. These diverse experiences have significantly shaped his coaching philosophy. With two years of experience as an assistant collegiate coach in the United States, Paulo has learned that coaching goes beyond tactics and techniques. It involves understanding each player's unique story, challenges, and goals. His objective is to create an environment where players feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential. For Paulo, coaching is about helping players develop their character, build their confidence, and grow as individuals. He believes in a player-centered approach, focusing on technical skill development, teamwork, and tactical awareness.
