- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is extremely simple...pest control is based on the square footage of your home. Keep in mind two-story homes are higher in square footage and could skew the bid. When shopping for bids make sure you inform them it is a two-story home so a company can provide you an accurate bid (most pest control companies spray the perimeter of the home at ground level). For example, you have a two-story home at 3000 sq. ft., only 1500 sq. ft. would be getting sprayed. This could be a huge difference in cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our field requires continuous training and learning. We must renew our licenses every three (3) years. Do verify a license in our industry visit http://www.pestboard.ca.gov and click on "verify a license" located on the left side of the screen.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My friends father owned his own company and offered me a job with his company starting out as laborer during summer between high school and college. That lead to becoming a Pest Control Technician (PCT), obtaining my Master's Degree, to owning my own business when my friends father sold his business.
