We worked with Nathan at Studio 513 for our business logo. He listened to what we wanted and incorporated that into his designs. His work is very high quality, and we got a fantastic logo that captures the feeling of our business. He delivered materials either on or before the deadlines he had given. He is reasonably priced. And, at the end of the process we own our logo- this was not the case with all designers we looked into. I would recommend working with him and would do so again!

Studio 513 created logo's, website, business cards, and letterhead for my businesses. Yes, plural! The service was professional, high quality, creative and ON TIME. Nathan Rhoads captured my vision before I could completely put it into words. I would use him again and again

Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center and Rosemary Anderson High School have been pleased to work with Nathan for the past two years since he arrived in Portland Oregon. Over that time Nathan has partnered with us to develop print and point-of-sale extensions of our brand, based on our website. This includes event-marketing materials for large-scale formal fundraising events held at the Nines Hotel and Multnomah Athletic Club. In addition he has designed and produced a broad range of materials for the daily management and promotion of our school and work programs. These include Invitations, save the date cards, email marketing materials, business cards and email signatures, letterhead and envelopes, graduation invitations, programs and associated materials, new student recruitment materials, program brochures flyers and newsletters, building signage, video titles and power-point presentations. In this time we have found Nathan to be a talented, disciplined and responsive partner. He has quickly immersed himself in our work and developed designs that evolve intelligently out from our website, while developing and growing an innovative aesthetic. He has respected and built on our brand personality without unnecessarily making large-scale changes. He often suggests new innovations in our printing and production processes, and is very careful to avoid or advise of the potential of time and cost overruns. Nathan always brings several creative interpretations to the table for new events or programs, but is now very in tune with out work and often has the design solution for new items on the first round of concepts. We recommend his work highly, and enjoy working with him very much. Please feel free to call for further information. FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, I set up a meeting either in person or over the phone. This meeting is critical. It allows me to ask the questions I need to provide the client with an accurate design quote. After the initial meeting, I provide the client with a design estimate along with a timeline of when they can expect deliverables. The purpose of the timeline is to keep both parties moving toward a completion date. Once the estimate is approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin the project. The remaining amount is due when the project is completed.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelor of Fine Arts Point Loma Nazarene University 1998 16 years working for various advertising agencies and design firms, working with a wide variety of clientele from large sporting events to science and technology to small businesses.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

All sectors of society. Mom and Pop shops, a lot of non-profits, education and higher learning, technology companies, event management companies, sports clothing, manufacturing, and the pet industry to name a few.
