Roy did a very good job on a concrete sidewalk and a brick walkway. I would hire him again.

Good work for the price. However, was told it was going to be a one day job during the estimate. It ended up taking two days to complete. Employee only worked half a day the first day. More communication would have been great.

Steve took on my project as a side job. I think he bit off more than he could chew, as he attempted to pour my two slabs (6” deep at 8’x8’ and 11’x11’) by himself, hand mixing all the concrete himself. He originally said it would take him (and his one co-worker) one day to do the job. He was close to 4 hours late and had no help with him on that day. He got one slab done on the first day and it turned out great. The second pad he failed to finish on the second day after working into the night. He had to come back and finish it on a third day and the pad turned out less than satisfactory. It has low spots, the edges weren’t finished well, it has marred spots where he left wood sitting on it while it dried over night, and it has spots that were not smoothed because he said he’d come back to trowel them after they dried a little but he never returned. Keep in mind, I formed both pads out myself prior to hiring him so he didn’t even have to take on that part of the job. He was really nice and he definitely worked hard on the project, but his reliability and finish work were lacking.
