Was an amazing experience. He did the extra work of scouting the location early to make sure that he captured the vision. He was punctual and communicative, and did an excellent job capturing our moment. We recommended him to friends of ours and he did an incredible job for them as well. A week before traveling to San Diego I reached out to John for a quick ~15 minute photo session with my family (4 and 2 y/o), I wanted quick for the kids attention span. He responded almost instantly and was super flexible in finding the right day/time during our trip and accommodating kid schedules. He arrived on time and was generous in staying past the 15 minute mark as the kids were actually loving it. He was so gentle and engaging with the kids and was even willing to get himself wet to get the right shots once the kids wandered into the water. He delivered the photos very quickly and they were PHENOMENAL! Perfectly candid and capturing all of the smiles and love that was had at the beach that day. Thanks so much, John!

We booked JC to do a family photo session at Balboa Park. The group included 6 adults, 4 kids, and 1 baby. JC did an amazing job of capturing both posed and candid shots of everyone! We did group photos, as well as couples only, kids only, and everything in between. JC was at all times calm, flexible, and supportive! He had great ideas for poses and group shots and kept the session moving to capture as many photos as possible during the golden hour light. JC was very patient and willing to re-do group shots until we got it right, which I very much appreciated!

I always worry about managing all the kids during a group photo session (especially when working within a fixed natural light/golden hour time), but JC helped us all stay relaxed and at ease during the session – which totally came across in our photos! My family loves the photos that JC took of us – my niece even commented that it looked like we were in a magazine photoshoot! JC is talented, professional, and friendly. I would definitely hire him again!
