I have been investing in real estate throughout Long Beach, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Irvine and Riverside for over 20+ years so I am experienced in investing and property management. I was recommended to Optum Real Estate through a colleague and although my old property management company was 'fine', I was looking for a property manager who could take my investments to the next level. I could not believe the astuteness behind Optum's business processes and strategy. They reviewed each of my properties, thoroughly discussed all of my options and made detailed recommendations that I had never considered. I began exclusively using their property management services almost a year ago and have nothing but good things to say about their management style and their recommendations. They really are a full service real estate company.

I cant thank Dan and the team at Optum Real Estate enough for helping make my first real estate investment a huge success! Although I have a lot of experience in the stock market, I was not nearly as familiar with the real estate market and real estate investing. After a few meetings with Dan he helped me understand the investment landscape and locate a few triplex and duplex options to invest in. After a few weeks of searching and analyzing deals we were in contract on a triplex in Costa Mesa. They were so helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire purchase process and made sure there were no surprises or unexpected issues. Optum now does the property management for my Triplex and because of some quick renovations that they recommended, the triplex is now generating rents higher than we had originally anticipated. I cant recommend them enough for any real estate investor in Orange Country, Los Angeles or San Diego looking for an investment or property management company.

I cannot say enough about the personal touch and commitment to achieving my familys goals that Daniel and the Optum team provided us. With two young children, we found ourselves needing to look for a larger house but werent sure what our options were with the current market. Daniel sat down with us and showed his knowledge of the housing market, trends, rental values, loans/rates/etc, and answered every question we had without hesitation. Further, he provided honest feedback to ensure my family didnt put ourselves in financial risk (to the extent thats possible). My family hired Optum Real Estate about 2yrs ago as our property management company for our apartment properties in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. They've been nothing but amazing! After first meeting with us they listen to our concerns and desires and immediately developed a plan to meet the goals we had for our investments which they executed better than we hoped. Since taking over management they've taken care of every aspect and have made sure that our properties are being taken care of kept up without any extra charges or nickel and dime-ing us for things that need to be done. We also love that they're very responsive and easy to get a hold of when we need them. Very easy to work with and worth every penny! We couldn't be happier!

Optum Real Estate makes iteasy for me to be a real estate investor.I first hired Daniel and Optum Real Estate to manage a small condo inLaguna Beach that needed repairs and a new tenant. I liked the idea ofnot being charged extra for advertising, leasing and having themmanage the remodel so I gave them a shot. Daniel and his team quicklygot the condo looking like new and and leased at a higher rent than wethought we could get. After that we asked Daniel to evaluate ourNewport Beach and Huntington Beach houses and apartments which hedetermined could be greatly improved. He created entire management andrepositioning plan for us and executed all the repairs, rentadjustments and leasing of the properties. They now manage all of ourproperties and we couldn't be happier. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straightforward. We charge 8.9% of rents collected for management of 1-4 Residential units. We charge 6.9% of rents collected for management of 5-15 Residential units. There is custom pricing for of buildings with with over 15 units or commercial properties.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We tailor our approach specifically to each client to make sure to correctly address the client's needs and not provide a generic cookie cutter approach for the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Daniel earned a Masters of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he received concentrations in both Real Estate and Finance. He also holds a California Real Estate License and has degrees in Business Administration, Economics and Spanish from the University of Oregon where he completed his undergraduate studies.
