I was initially nervous about selecting a contractor to build our deck because I didn't have a good vision of its design, concerned about cost and staying on budget, concerned what company would do good work, and be trustworthy throughout the whole process. After extensive research I found ABD. Those concerns were squelched because ABD was professional, hard working, clean, communicative, and attentive. We stayed within our budget and absolutely love our deck. I plan on having them back to do other projects.

Dan was prompt for our meeting, he listened to my concerns, offered alternatives and quoted me a price better than anyone else. When the work started (in a timely manner) the job site was left clean every day, no screws or nails in the driveway! The combination balcony and deck are now the focus of our yard! Thanks guys!

ABD just completed about 10 days worth of work on our home. They repaired quite a bit of dry rot, removed a door to the deck that was never used and (IMO) very poorly designed and completely rebuilt our deck and stairs. I cannot express how happy we are with the company, more importantly with the crew that were here doing the work. Their work ethic (usually arrive around 8:00am and didnt quit until 6:00pm) was unlike any company, construction or other, that Ive seen. I would not hesitate to hire American Building Development again.

TLDR: Company with impressive professionalism and high quality service.We are new homeowners in Oakland who recently bought a fixer with a completely dry-rotten large front deck. Given the extensive work needed, we were obviously nervous about not only the cost but the quality of work we would receive. Hands down this company was one of our best vendors of the many projects weve engaged in. They were clear about the necessary work, provided cost saving options, and we had open lines of communication with everyone from the day to day workers to the owners. Most of all, we were so thankful for the efficiency and quality. They arrived on time, had an eye for detail, and inquired about any changes we thought were needed. Any small thing we pointed out was remedied. Im very happy this company was recommended to us and that we hired them. Highly recommend and they will be hired again for the back deck repair.

We used American Building Development to waterproof our existing balcony that had developed a leak. ABD did a great job in solving the problem by installing new floor in the balcony which was located above our garage. The project, which took 7 days to complete, was well-managed and executed very well. Nazar, the project manager, and Dima, the lead man on the team, communicated well and were very responsive.
