DJ Dr. Rico was an amazing DJ to work with! Prepping for the wedding, he was professional and on top of everything. He initiated multiple phone meetings to make sure that we’re on the same page and to make sure he would have everything to set the perfect vibe. He was able to provide us some great recommendations as we were very unfamiliar with wedding music protocols. When it comes to the planning phase, he didn’t disappoint. He was very supportive, relieved out stresses during our wedding planning, and made us feel prepared.
On the day of the wedding he was prompt, ready, and was very accommodating. My wedding had about 80 guests and his equipment was more than sufficient to handle the guest count for the outside ceremony and indoor reception. Music selection was great, vibes were perfect, and he was a pleasure to work with.
We hired him as our MC as well and he was able to get the room hyped, and engaged. He was able to make all the announcements on time and perfectly which made the night flow smoothly.
If you’re looking for a great DJ, with an amazing personality, you should definitely hire him!

His DJ services at our 25th wedding anniversary vow renewal ceremony was exactly what we wanted to make our day fun and exciting!
DJ Dr. Rico’s work quality and professionalism made the day stress free. I really appreciated his quick responsiveness from the minute I reached out to him for services and it continued over several months and throughout the day of the event.
I chose DJ Dr. Rico, because of his eagerness to make our day special. His mission was to make us happy and he did not disappoint.
The quality of his equipment and setup was of high quality. The event was held outside and he was sure to provide lighting and microphones for our usage. He worked closely with us to add music to the poem that would play during the ceremony. It was done with the great quality and presentation.
He arrived on time and stayed until the time he was contracted even though the event was winding up. Awesome time management!
I highly recommend DJ Dr. Rico for any DJ services. I will definitely use his services again.

I planned to have a DJ less than 24 hours before my husbands surprise birthday party and here I was in a limbo until I got in touch with DJ Dr. Rico. Honestly can’t thank you enough for taking in my request last minute! We also had a bad bunny themed party, abs he was able to put together a bomb playlist in that short timeframe. We initially booked for 4 hours, but we extended for another few lol and he was willing to stay the whole time! Awesome work would def work with you again. DJ Dr. Rico is the best! He was responsive and professional and always answered any questions we had. He worked in our song requests and read the room really well. He knew what to play to keep the energy high and good vibes going. Most of our wedding guests were on the dance floor for the entire night! His good energy is contagious! He even joined us on the dance floor for the last song of the night. 10/10 would recommend him for your wedding or function!!!

My pricing varies based upon multiple factors including location, event type and amount of hours booked.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to greet my new potential customer's with enthusiasm and professionalism that lets them know they would make a great choice choosing my services! I offer free phone/video consultations to discuss the needs, desires, plans and ideas that the client has for the event so I can work to bring it into fruition. After completion of the phone consultation and when a customer decides they want to work with me, I draft an official and legal contract to ensure things are carried out the right way to protect the client. After the contract has been signed by both parties (myself and the client) and the deposit has been received, the date for their event will officially be locked in. Customers will be provided my email and phone number so we can periodically touch base throughout the process of working together. I make it my goal to constantly follow up and check-in with my clients, to ensure quality of service is upheld and customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master Degree in Biomedical Sciences. I will soon be pursuing my Master degree in Urban/Public Health. Although these degrees do not directly relate to the entertainment and DJ field, I have learned efficient time management, professionalism, punctuality, dedication, and hard work, which I'm positive will serve my clients well!
