FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Transparent & Custom Pricing To ensure you receive the highest quality of service tailored specifically to your needs, my rates are customized for each project. Pricing is determined by the scope of work, including the type of service, duration, and the number of people involved. A few things to keep in mind regarding my rates: • Firm Pricing: As a three-time award-winning artist with 30 years of experience, my rates reflect a premium level of skill, kit quality, and reliability. Therefore, I do not offer discounts. • Travel Fees: I am happy to come to you! Travel is included for locations within 30 miles of my base. For locations beyond that radius, a standard travel fee will be applied to the final quote. • All-Inclusive Quotes: You will always receive a full, transparent quote following our initial consultation. This ensures there are no surprises or hidden fees on the day of your event or shoot. Professional-grade products, sanitization protocols, and my extensive on-set experience are included in every booking.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A Seamless, Professional Experience My process is designed to be collaborative and efficient, ensuring every detail is accounted for before I even open my kit. Whether it’s a film set or a bridal suite, I bring a calm, expert presence to the chair. 1. Discovery & Technical Consultation: We begin by discussing your specific vision and the environment of the project. I evaluate the lighting (studio, natural, or high-definition film), wardrobe, and skin type to ensure the makeup translates perfectly on camera and in person. 2. Custom Design & Kit Preparation: No two faces are the same. I custom-tailor the application for longevity and comfort. For clients needing a full look, I coordinate with my preferred hairstylist at this stage to ensure our styles are perfectly synchronized. 3. On-Site Execution: On the day of the service, I work with precision and professionalism. My 30 years of experience allows me to work efficiently under tight production schedules while maintaining a relaxing environment for the client. 4. The "Final Look" & Refinement: Every session concludes with meticulous touch-ups and a "camera-ready" check. I ensure the application is flawless, the client feels confident, and the look is built to last for the duration of the event or shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Elite Training & Technical Foundations My artistry is built on a rigorous, high-level education from the most respected institutions in the industry. This technical background allows me to master any lighting environment, skin type, or high-definition camera requirement with absolute precision. • Joe Blasco Makeup Center (Hollywood, CA): I completed an intensive, year-long residency under industry pioneer Joe Blasco. My training covered the full spectrum of professional artistry, including: • Advanced Beauty & Corrective Techniques: Mastering facial architecture, symmetry, and "Chiaroscuro" lighting principles. • High-Definition & On-Camera Application: Specialized techniques for Film, TV, and 4K/8K photography. • Special Effects & Prosthetics: Technical skills for complex character design and production needs. • Advanced Aesthetics (American Institute of Aesthetics): To ensure the best "canvas" for makeup, I completed advanced training in skin health, preparation, and anatomy. This ensures every application is as healthy for the skin as it is beautiful. • Professional Certifications: I hold specialized certifications in Advanced Beauty, Makeup Instruction, and Esthetics. My kit and protocols meet the highest industry standards for sanitation, safety, and performance.
