My brother and I are scriptwriting, editing, and ghostwriting, collaborators who "live to work." The reason why Hollywood loves writing partners is because we are more fun at pitch meetings and it's twice the number of people for the same money. Partners are also good for writing. If I am sending the scene from a screenplay to my partner, he'll double check and make sure it's exceptional. Not only are we business partners, but we are the very best of pals. My brother, Jerome is ideally someone I can be honest with. We all share normal life experiences that we can relate to, so we have developed a team writing method that works extremely well. Collaboration means that the premise for the story comes from one another.
