We hired Darrel to bartend our kids’ birthday party and had a great experience overall. He got set up quickly, made excellent drinks, kept everything running smoothly, and did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward. I also really appreciated that he batched some of the cocktails so we could continue making them for friends later — such a thoughtful touch.
Darrel was always very responsive whenever I reached out during the planning process. I tend to be very hands-on with my parties and already had a clear vision for the drink menu, so I took the lead on a lot of the details and checked in a few times to make sure I understood what he would be bringing versus what I needed to provide. Everything came together well in the end, and he executed exactly what we needed.
He was professional, polite, and more on the calm and reserved side behind the bar, which worked well for our event. Most importantly, the drinks were delicious, our guests were well taken care of, and I didn’t have to worry about the bar during the party.
Overall, we were really happy with Darrel and would absolutely recommend him, especially if you have a vision for your event and want someone reliable to execute it well. Great drinks, responsive communication, and excellent cleanup — a 5-star experience for us

Daryl was absolutely incredible when he bar-tended at our house for my husband’s 40th! From start to finish, he was the definition of professional and highly responsive. We set the bar provided FANTASTIC service for our wedding! Darel was not only communicative from the very first day we hired him, but he was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it came time to buy the alcohol needed. We booked We Set the Bar for my Wife’s 50th. Darel and his Team @ We Set The Bar are amazing. This was our first time hiring a bartending service and we had a lot of questions, Darel responds to your messages and questions promptly and even though he was unable to attend he sent mixologists, Johnny & Nigeria who were the utmost professionals and such sweet personalities.
