Amp-la-vie: Amp up your life! I believe that we could all use mentors and life planners to help us become the best version(s) of ourselves. I approach career planning through a decolonial, antiracist, feminist of color, and pragmatic framework that takes into account the fullness of you-- your history, community, joy, growth, sustainability, uncompromising values-- and together we develop a plan with steps that are SMA(c)RT (specific, measurable, actionable, culturally-relevant, time-based). As a first-generation university professor, business and nonprofit leader, and community organizer, my dynamic work affords me the opportunity to teach and mentor hundreds of people every year. As part of my services, I also connect clients with diverse professionals and creatives from my vast network. Prior to earning my PhD in American Studies & Ethnicity from University of Southern California, I received a double major in Urban Planning and Ethnic Studies from University of California, San Diego. In a demanding world, it can be difficult to find the time to reflect on our choices, goals, and aspirations. Finding an empathetic, enthusiastic, and experienced coach can be even more daunting.
