Would recommend. Would hire again. Her prices may go up with time but she is a budget bride's dream come true. Angelina is a delight. She did my bridal makeup as well as a bridal makeup trial the same week as the wedding because I wasn't in town before that. I didn't really know what kind of look I wanted which probably made her work more difficult but she tried some stuff out and checked in with me as she worked to figure out what I liked. Both on the trial day and the wedding day, she set aside a lot of her time to make sure I got what I wanted which let me have a pretty relaxed morning before the wedding chaos began. As far as I know, the makeup looked great in all the photos. I will say the makeup did not hold up very well against my sweat but I think it held up throughout the time the photographer was present (pre-ceremony till part way through dancing). If I were to do it again, I probably would add some extra setting spray and make sure I had a really good powder on hand for touch ups, I'm sure she would have good recommendations but I wasn't thinking about it (I just used the powder I had to deal with the little sweat mustache before the ceremony). She did give me a touch up kit for lips and some powder but I do sweat a lot once I start dancing lol

I am so glad I found Thumbtack and Angelina. She did amazing work. It was rather short notice that I booked her. She was responsive and communicative leading up to the event. She was professional upon arriving and had all the materials needed. We hit off immediately she has great personality and is fun to work with while remaining professional and getting the job done. She was flexible and understanding and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome for my wedding day. Her prices are also very reasonable for the Bay Area.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should have realistic expectations of the final look. A lot of people come to makeup artists with heavily photoshopped/ filtered inspiration pictures of people that have very different facial features than themselves. It’s important to remember that skin texture is normal, a cut crease is not visible on hooded eyes, heavy contouring doesn’t look good/natural in person, etc. The main goal is to enhance your natural beauty, not to make you look like an entirely different person.
