Introduction

With roughly twenty years of experience, I began tutoring children at the age of 16 when I moved from California to Korea. It was there that I discovered my love for teaching and seeing students succeed. Since then, I have taught reading, composition, creative writing, ESL, grammar, and SAT/TOEFL in classroom settings at Skyline College, Ajou University Language Institute, L.E.N. Business and Language Institute, ELS Language Institute, and Jefferson High School. I have also tutored both adults and K-7 students independently and with the Stanford distance learning program, GiftedandTalented.com, in Language Arts and Writing.

I charge $60/hour for one student, $50/hour/student for two students.

I would have a conversation with them about what their needs and goals are and then explore different resources that would help meet those goals. I also have a conversation about their background and share my own to get to know them and establish a positive rapport.
