FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $45 per hour labor cost for myself and $45 for my helper when he is present on the job. Most jobs I complete by myself.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After meeting with the customer and going over the details about the work they want completed, I can give an estimate right there if the work is very simple or straight forward. Otherwise I will often leave and call back later with the bid once I have checked the price and availability of the needed materials. Also the customer sometimes needs to shop for products they want such as a new ceiling lamp or maybe a new door handle set. Once all is agreed to I usually start soon thereafter I proceed until it is all done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began working as an apprentice carpenter with my father building custom homes in the East Bay. I am a former sheet metal contractor and I have completed work in every phase of work from the foundation on up to the roof.
