We hired Shannon (BarFly owner) to bartender our wedding on May 7, 2016. From the very first meeting we loved her! She is so personable and fun and she knows her stuff. The wedding was magical, and we owe so much if that to Shannon. She went above and beyond what I would consider normal bartending duties. She was AMAZING! You will not be sorry if you hire her!!!May 18, 2016
Shannon Rundle is AWESOME. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a bartending service. She is so professional - arrives early, sets everything up neatly and goes above and beyond what is asked of her. (Everyone always needs an extra helping hand at events!) She has a great sense of humor and interacts with guests flawlessly. We even had a few guests comment on how wonderful the bartender was. Anyone looking for a bartender needs to talk to Shannon - you will not be disappointed!Jul 31, 2014
Hire Shannon Now! She was the bartender for our wedding, and we absolutely loved her. No one had to wait for drink, she was always 3 steps ahead of the game. Everyone loved her for her down to earth attitude and professional service, not to mention AMAZING drinks! You'll want to be her friend after, cause she's that cool.Jul 18, 2014
Hire this bartender service for your wedding! We did for our wedding on 8/6/16, and we could not be happier after working with Shannon. She is wonderful at communicating with you prior to the big day. Her prices were excellent! She is understanding and accommodating! She came to the venue to meet us and look around and ended up walking around with us for far too long (sorry again! haha). She didn't mind. She worked so hard at our wedding. We asked her to prepare some special drinks for the wedding party following the recessional and this was accomplished. We love Jamo and pickle juice and she brought us extra pickle juice! She is funny and yet professional. She packed up and cleaned quickly after our venue closed. To top it all off, she picked up my friend so that they could together take the kegs to his house. I mean... Just above and beyond. Shannon, thank you so much! And thank you for the thoughtful gift. It was so unexpected. We appreciate everything you did for us.Aug 21, 2016
My husband and I just got married on September 5, 2015 and Shannon with BarFly was our bartender. Amazing does not even begin to describe the job she did! From the very first day she was so welcoming and comforting, she made sure to let us know she was going to do everything she could to make our day special on her end! She kept in contact throughout our whole preparation process, always answering our calls and getting back to us with any questions or concerns we had. She kept us calm and gave us a knowledgeable and experienced perspective on so many different things that just relaxed our nervous minds. Shannon also checked out our location before the wedding and again helped with everything she could then kept in constant communication, even if it was just to see how we were doing. My wedding was everything that I could have ever imagined and Shannon was definitely one of the main highlights of the night that everyone kept talking about the week to follow. Her and her bar hand not only made delicious drinks, but they kept all guests happy with their friendliness and lively personalities! When I finally got my drink at the end of the night I knew why the bar was constantly full, delicious! Thank you Shannon and BarFly for making my wedding special and for all the hard work and dedication!Sep 15, 2015
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When working with a new customer, the first thing I do is identify their needs and expectations. Once identified, we formulate a plan and service agreement that works with their budget, time, location, etc. Every event is unique and I like to work with people as closely as possible so that we really focus on creating the type of experience they are looking for, all things considered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started in the service industry waiting tables at 15 years old and have worked in the Food and Beverage business ever since. I started in restaurants and bars and then moved on to catering, working for the Wild Thyme Company (fantastic San Diego based caterer!) as an operations manager. I moved to Oceanside in 2011 and started my own business, BarFly Beverage Solutions, providing event beverage and bar services across San Diego County. Education: Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing, Associate of Arts in Hospitality Management & Certificate of Proficiency in Meeting & Event Planning,
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Be sure to hire a real professional! There are lots of bartenders out there, but consider the amount of interaction your bartender is going to have with your guests and the impact that has on the overall vibe of your event. This is not an area where you want to leave it to chance. Know who you are getting.
