- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We mainly charge for labor, software and parts. The only other pricing we have is our monthly or annual subscription service, which saves a lot of headaches for the customer. We check and clean their computers monthly, so they never get messed up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended classes for networking, sponsored by Cisco. Also a course for the Linux operating system. I subscribe to technical websites and have attended the consumer electronics show in Las Vegas.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been in electronics and have repaired tv's, stereos, intercom systems. So when computers came along, what better challange for me. I even build computers for customers and keep up with all the newest information. I have been employed as a metrology technician,responsible for special instruments that required perfect accuracy. Such items as temperature controllers, the 1st digital volt meters, from HP. Also worked on medical equipment, i.e. EKG instruments, xray, & medical sterilization devices. Also electronic heating devices that helped Arthritis patients feel better. In the USAF I served as a radio operator, with duty in Morocco. I had to send & receive Morse code to support communications there.
