    Hi there! My Name is Levi Strauss (no, that's not a joke), and I am the owner and operator of Blue Jeans and Black Tie Entertainment. First off, a little about me and my company. First fun fact is that I was actually just voted San Diego's Karaoke Host of the Year! That's a pretty good start, no? I have been running karaoke for 18 years (not bad for being only 35), that's half of my life! Wait, I'm not really sure if that's amazing or pathetic, oh well! Anyway, I currently run karaoke and DJ services weekly at Henry's Pub (I've been there for almost ten years), the Double Deuce and Joltin Joes, all downtown in the Gaslamp. I have all of my own high-quality equipment and sound, and virtually every available karaoke song, including all of the latest hits (updated bi-weekly), good old fashioned rock and roll, old school, country, pop, R and B, and anything and everything else our guests would request. Everything is run digitally off of a laptop, including using a laptop as a songbook (if the customer needs some suggestions of what song to sing, although this step is completely optional) for easier and faster results for singers to find their songs. When people are ready to fill out a song slip, they are always pleased to find out that they don't even need song slips (although they are provided); they can just come to the karaoke control area, and just tell what song(s) of over the 100,000 they want! That's right, one hundred thousand! They would like to sing, and the rest is taken cared of for them! Not to mention disc jockeying with my 250,000 DJ tracks (updated weekly), and all the great party in-between songs as well, there's never any dead air, and still lots of booty-shaking and head-bopping! Here's another fun and notable fact: I also have the ability to record the performers on CD when they sing, for a little extra. No one else in SD offers this service! I do sing also, and have sung at Showtime at the Apollo in Harlem, NY. By the way, I didn't get booed off! I've also performed at the Grande Ole Opre in Nashville Tennessee. In addition to all of the listed above, I am also the official MC for Flairaholics for all of their radiant and exciting Pour War events, which are California's premier working bartenders flair competitions! Just for kicks, if you type in Levi Strauss Karaoke San Diego on any search engine, I also come up on the majority of the top pages too. There are also lots of information written about me in various entertainment magazines and websites! Here is an example of an article that was written about me by Hannibal Tabu: "I learned from some of the best. There are, however, two hosts I feel are better than me. Number 2 is Aaron, who ran karaoke at Miyagi's on Sunset. The only one better, a man who can literally do it all, from working the crowd to concert-grade sound to fantastic charisma and technical skills is Levi Strauss from Blue Jeans and Black Tie Entertainment. If I could do half the show he does every Sunday at Henry's in Gaslamp, I could be a legend. I don't have the ability to be social and rock the show the same way; I don't have the energy he has; I don't have the focus. It's less jealousy and more awe, honestly. If Fatman Scoop was a karaoke host, could sing almost anything, and had three times more energy, he'd be Levi. Still, that said, after the top ten or eleven hosts I've seen, most other shows are pretty limp." I didn't write that, I swear! So, in closing, your top question and/or the bottom line, cost? I start at only $75 an hour! I am all about customer service, and most of all, complete customer satisfaction! You will not be disappointed. The music needs to be appropriate/clean because I have family at my graduation party that do not like bad words. I do like all the new music like "Don't tell them" and "Na Na" but they need to be the clean versions. If you have any country music or soul that would be great for the older adults.
