FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge by the form produced, and add in for the time it takes overall, including consulting, printing, copying and follow-up signing, mailing or e-filing, tracking and ongoing year-round consutation. The national average is $125 per hour but we usually charge $85 per hour, against growing software expenses and the other usual overhead. We believe in adding value by taking the time to explain and educate together with competitive pricing. This is why you'll pay less but receive more in service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we consult over the phone, then either the customer sends their information and documents through our secure portal or by email, fax or dropping off, or we meet in person to go over everything. Lastly, we either prepare the return/s on the spot or meet again for signing or we finalize online. We're flexible to our clients' schedules and level of technology and always emphasize customer satisfaction. We accept payment when the project is completed and communicate frequently until completion, including emailing digital copies and confirmation that their returns were mailed or e-filing was accepted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tax preparers are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education every year by the State of California, and renew their registration with the IRS every other year. I typically complete 40 hours or more every year. I can also consult a peer support board and regularly work with an Enrolled Agent with over 20 years of experience who lends phenomenal support to my business and my clients.
