I am an athlete at heart and I found myself completely unhappy with my body and health about a year ago. After trying to work on my self esteem first, I decided in September it was time to get back into fitness like I had been my whole life. I came on thumbtack and scheduled meetings with five different trainers. I met with JJ first and cancelled the rest before I even had a workout with him. Honestly I hired him only based off of his personality and game plan for for getting me back into shape. He literally is one of the funniest people I have met. However he doesn't mess around when it's time to work. And each workout I find that he can push me to limits I didn't know I had. I have lost 24 pounds so far but have become so much stronger and healthier. We weight lift, do cardio, and he has taught me personal defense. I was skeptical paying money to get fit but I'm investing in my health and it truly makes me happy. (He is going to make fun of me for getting sappy on this but whatever he deserves it)
Kick2Fit is easily one of the most fulfilling workout classes in Southern California. It is high energy, intensive, and will leave you sweating ridiculous amounts by the end of each class. For someone who gets bored with standard cardio dances and whatnot, I have never found Inez's classes to be anything but exciting. If you want to be pushed and challenged but don't have the willpower to do so on your own, Inez Cabellero is your girl. The workout is addicting thanks to great music and a fantastic instructor- my body craves it! On a side note, Inez is equally hilarious as she is inspiring. You will be building abs not only by following her self-created moves, but also by laughing at everything that comes out of her mouth!
You know you have a good trainer when you leave your first (free) session feeling a confidence and a preparedness that you never knew you should have. Vinny is the type of teacher who makes sure you get the most value out of every lesson by teaching you how to "flow" with your movements so that it becomes innate and personal to you and whatever situation may arise. Every time I leave I feel stronger, sharper, smarter and more confident in not just physical self defense but your overall attitude. Not only is Vinny obviously experienced and a great teacher who makes you understand but he is a really good person too. I highly recommend him.

Johnny is awesome! I hired him to train my wife in self defense. I've been doing martial arts for years and have never managed to convince my wife to do it with me. It always intimidated her. But within a few lessons with Johnny she is now hooked. Johnny is very experienced working with women and with people without any background in martial arts. Now, a month into her working with Johnny, she loves every minute of it. I can see her improvement, both physically and psychologically and I have never seen her so motivated to workout. I am a great fan of Shihan Hojati, whose experience, knowledge and teaching skills are simply superb. I am greatly respectful towards his insights regarding Karate do. His approach towards his class is self defense and fitness oriented and his teaching methods encompass the traditional as well as the modified. All the kids as well as the adults benefit greatly in terms of fitness of body as well as that of the mind from his teaching. I have been training with him for more than a year now and hope to be here longer still as I enjoy every class with him!

I have years of experience and training in martial arts. My background is in Tang Soo Do (Korean harate), though I have cross-trained in multiple other styles and can offer beginning and intermediate students in karate, tae kwon do, hapkido, or any other traditional, strike-based martial art with valuable, hands-on training and coaching for better kicks, punches as well as basic throws and takedowns. I also offer clients the opportunity to learn simple, easy-to-perform exercises that require little or no equipment and are designed to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, and general technical skill for more rigorous training later on in their martial arts career.
