FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meeting with my clients is very important part of my practice. At the initial meeting it's a process of getting to know my client and for them to know me. I want to know about them to so that I can fully address their needs. And to assure them that I am the person to trust with their financial information. I also want my clients to know that I am available all year round, not just during the tax season!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a federally licensed tax practitioner as an Enrolled Agent. Enrolled Agents are admitted to practice and represent clients in all matters before the IRS. I am also an NTPI Fellow which is a designation given by the National Tax Practice Institute for practitioners who represent clients before the IRS.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in tax work on a part time basis way back in the days of pen, paper and carbon paper! I worked on returns for friends and family. I finally went into full time practice by working with a CPA for 7 years and then devoting myself to my own practice when the CPA sold his practice to a national company.
