Introduction: I'm a dual Ph.D./MA graduate in the joint degree program in comparative literature and humanities from Stanford University. I received my other M.A. in Humanistic Studies and B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences, English (with honors), and Spanish (with honors) with minors in mathematics, women, gender and sexuality; and Latin-American studies from the Johns Hopkins University in 2008.
I have an extensive teaching experience in the Stanford community and beyond. On campus, I taught a freshman writing course through the program in writing and rhetoric as well as upper-level Spanish literature seminars. Throughout the Bay Area, I also teach study skills curriculum, working with K-8 students in all subjects and tutoring high school students in English, history, Spanish, economics, physics, biology, chemistry, statistics, and all levels of mathematics and counsel students in college admissions.
I specialize in standardized test preparation and SAT instruction. I have tutored students from a variety of backgrounds, from elementary school to the collegiate level, including students with eating disorders and also with learning disabilities, and I have significant experience counseling and advising students throughout the Bay Area on college admissions and preparation.
