I hired 1st Choice Remodeling for a full landscape project — removing old mulch, weeds, and weed guard, installing sprinklers, and laying fresh sod. From start to finish, owner Jorge Pena made the entire process stress-free and exceeded every expectation. Within just a few hours of our initial conversation, Jorge met me in person to walk my property and gave me an extremely reasonable quote on the spot. Within 12 hours his crew was on-site — they cleaned up all old mulch and weeds, rototilled, leveled the yard, and installed a full sprinkler system. They even did a complete cleanup of weeds and overgrown grass in my backyard for free as a throw-in, just because they could. While I was at work, Jorge texted me a photo update of the progress and condition of my property — that level of communication is rare. What really set Jorge apart: he drove over an hour away to source the best sod in the area rather than grabbing whatever was available at the big box store 5 miles from my house — and didn't charge me extra for it. Friday morning the sod was laid fresh, and my backyard is now BBQ and family-gathering ready. Jorge even came back 24 hours later to check on my automatic sprinkler system and see how the lawn was holding up, and he scheduled a two-week follow-up to adjust sprinkler times and duration. The attention to detail, communication, and genuine care for the customer experience is unmatched. I cannot recommend this company enough! The transformation of my yard in just one day was absolutely incredible.
The attached photos show the before and after. My front yard was dry, patchy, and full of old roots and debris. They completely transformed it by removing large roots, cleaning up the landscape, installing fresh black mulch, improving the lawn, and leaving everything looking neat, polished, and professionally finished.
What impressed me most was their work ethic. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and completed everything in a single day. They paid attention to detail and treated my property with care as if it were their own.
Their pricing was also extremely fair and reasonable, especially considering the amount of work that was completed. In today’s market, it is hard to find someone who delivers this level of quality, professionalism, and value.
My curb appeal has completely changed, and I have already received compliments from neighbors. If you are looking for landscaping, root removal, mulch installation, yard cleanup, or a complete yard refresh, do not hesitate to hire them.
