- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to quote the actual amount I will charge which is a minimum competitive charge, though there are exceptions such as; lower the minimum charge or give a discount under special or extraordinary circumstances. Increase of charge if after arriving on site discovering the task was not accurately described and turns out to be more work and / or there are unforeseen issues.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Make an appointment, meet on site with the customer and walk the job and gather as much information as possible. Discuss procedure, do research and make calculations, Write up a proposal and present it to the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed contractor since 2003. My classification is a B-General building contractor with a Home improvement certification. Going on 35 years experience in all trades.
