James was amazing to work with. He trully is a professional and I will gladly hire him again. The tile work came out great. We had unixpected problems and he solved every single one of them. He was always on time, very polite and friendly. His prices are fair and he is very honest. I am giving him a 5 star and he deserves it.

James was fast, efficient, and solved every issue I had -- including coming up with ways to solve problems as they arose. He was very responsive -- i'm just now getting responses from people asking me to send them what i need and yet he finished the work 7 hours ago. He was careful, took the time to do the project right and didn't let obstacles slow him down. I would definitely use him again, and his contractor experience is a great help to whatever he was doing...he gets the job done!

James was extremely prompt in returning my emails and we agreed to a price for removing a built in wine cooling unit. He arrived on time. The job involved a lot more work than anticipated and he was finally able to remove the unit. He was very professional and cleaned up everything when finished. I would highly recommend him.

The best quote that I received on Thumbtack. I had a few quotes that were much higher. I needed a beat up couch removed and disposed of and he came and got the job done in about 30 minutes. I was happy with the price and service.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to quote the actual amount I will charge which is a minimum competitive charge, though there are exceptions such as; lower the minimum charge or give a discount under special or extraordinary circumstances.
Increase of charge if after arriving on site discovering the task was not accurately described and turns out to be more work and / or there are unforeseen issues.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Make an appointment, meet on site with the customer and walk the job and gather as much information as possible. Discuss procedure, do research and make calculations, Write up a proposal and present it to the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed contractor since 2003. My classification is a B-General building contractor with a Home improvement certification.
Going on 35 years experience in all trades.
