- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Over a quick phone call, we talk about what you have planned on your Big Day, our process and the way we work on a wedding day, and what package might be best for what you've got planned. Then after deciding on a package, I draw up an Agreement and Invoice request for your booking deposit. Your first deposit of 33% officially puts you on our calendar. The second deposit of 33% is made at the middle point between booking and 30 days out from your wedding, and your third deposit is made 30 days out from your wedding day. Along the way we have a 3 month out phone call to see how the planning process is going and talk about the creative aspects of your wedding film, and then we have another meeting once we're much closer to go over the timeline. After shooting your wedding day, we turn around your edits in about 8 to 12 weeks.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My passion for filmmaking goes back to my childhood. I grew up on the backlots of Warner Brothers Studios and my family goes back a couple generations working in feature films. But, I diverted a bit when I discovered wedding films. There is something incredibly gratifying about creating personalized portraits of people and their lives and I thrive in the creative freedom I’m given with each project. In 2012 I graduated from The Los Angeles Film School and soon after, I spent 4 years working on feature films sets. In 2015, I left the industry and started working professionally as Videographer. In 2018, I founded Big Day Productions. This work is incredibly important to me and to be invited to be documentarian of your story is a true honor and responsibility.
