About this pro
Horrible! We had to pay twice as much as the initial quote. He destroyed our ceilings and did not complete the job. We've paid in full in CASH and now he does not answer our calls!Jul 28, 2018VerifiedDarin E.'s reply
Now lets hear the whole story, not just the parts that this customer wanted to share I was first contacted to install 3 hanging pendant lights that required several hours of modification due to the electrical wires being 15-20 feet longer than needed and without making them shorter it was not possible to install the fixture. I then installed 1 hanging fixture which was not intended to be installed by one person due to the size weight and shape but after several attempts and alot of paitience I was able to finally get it up. What was told to me prior to bidding was not described accurately and because of the trouble it took to get it installed the customer paid me $300.00 instead of my original bid of $250.00 , even though i didnt ask for more. After the installation she was very very happy with the results and wanted more things done. She explained to me that she had bought 4 new bathroom exhaust fans that were the same size she currently had in her bathrooms. I gave her a bid $40.00 ea fan because there wasnt to be any drywall cutting or patching. Once onsite and after measuring all fans were much larger than what she had so I first drove her to Lowes to find ones that were closer to what she had and after seeing lowes had a limited number of exhaust/light fans I suggested going to home depot becsuse i knew they had more fans that may be closer to what she had needed. Unfortunately the fans she had in her ceiling were different sizes than any fsns that either store currently had in stock. I forgot to mention after the trip to lowes i took her back home to get the new fans she had bought so she could return them to home depot where she had bought them. The new fans were still not a close match but were as close to what she had I could find. Each fan opening needed to be patched due to being smaller than the old fan. I explained that patching walls, ceilings is a process and needs several steps to complete and also neccesary to be done on future visits due to drying time and other factors . I also explained that I was leaving for Mexico in 2 days which was the reason i wasnt able to answer her phone calls i also explained I would not be able to finish the 2nd or 3rd visits until after i returned from my trip but instead of waiting the 4 dsys i was gone she chose to leave this review. I take my job very serious and go ABOVE & BEYOND to do everything i possibly can do provide the best experience for my clients. Unfortunately even that isnt enough to satisfy everyone. Id also like to address the part of her saying she paid twice what i quoted. I quoted on swapping out 4 fans that were. not going to need any drywall patching and spent 2-3 hours going back and forth getting the new matetials my bid was originally $160.00 to replace 4 bathroom exhaust fans, so after spending more than 8 hours at this job I was paid $300.00 I will continue to provide the best service i possibly can knowing I did the best I possibly could

Hire this guy!! Darin is an absolute professional who went way above and beyond to do a very difficult hot tub wiring and install for us. He offered to drive a half hour (always more with traffic) to our home to assess what needed to be done before he even knew if he was hired just to do the best job possible!! He worked for hours- in a couple very small crawl spaces under our house to be able to position the tub just where we wanted it. Great guy, super hard-working, very friendly & professional. Will be hiring to do an extensive landscape lighting project next. Great work!!Sep 24, 2016Verified
Darin was very professional and did great work at a reasonable price. We had him come back a couple more times to do additional work (adding new ceiling fixtures, replacing other light fixtures and changing out light switches) for us. I would definitely recommend him.Jul 9, 2018Verified
