SMP Pets uses highly effective training methods and techniques. I was very impressed with the improvements my pups, Prince and Aurora, both hyper Chihuahuas in their own ways, had made during their three week board and train with them. In short, Prince had separation anxiety but can now stay home without me there for at least three hours. Aurora has a long bite history with her previous owners and is extremely sensitive to being touched or handled but is getting more and more comfortable with trusting me to touch and pet her now. In addition to rehabbing both of my dogs, they also trained me on how to continue the good behavior with the pups at home on my own. I believe this training combined with the information I received from them about my pups helped ensure their good behavior would continue. Even my friend was impressed that no one barked when she came over, which is what usually happened before but they were both calm and felt safe when the door opened and she walked in. It was quiet for the first time. I am so happy and impressed with the results that me and my pups are much more happier, calmer and less stressed in our daily lives now. They told me initially to trust the process and that if I did, I would be able to see the transformation my pups would make in that short amount of time. It was so worth it and I'm so glad I invested the time and money into letting SMP Pets' care for my pups. I highly recommend them if you have a dog that needs to be trained or rehabbed. Moreover, my pups also received socialization training with other dogs and different people and places as part of their rehabilitation and training. And what's more, my pups had a blast and enjoyed their time with their trainers, Brad and Theresa, and love them now. If you need help with your pup, go to them. They will customize the training according to your dogs' needs. I learned a lot about my dogs and myself through this process and how my own decisions and behaviors affected their decisions and behaviors and we are all the more better for it.

SMP Pets, with they're highly effective training methods, changed the lives of my two Chihuahuas. Prince, my first Chihuahua had separation anxiety where I could not leave him alone for one minute. Aurora, my second Chihuahua, has a long bite history with her previous owners. But they both flourished under the care of SMP Pets. They were rehabbed and trained to stay home alone now for up to 3 hours without any more problems. And Aurora, who's bite history originated with fear, is a less scared and more confident dog now and allows me to pet her more now than before. I was taught to builds trust with the pups which is very important to their retraining. In addition, they were both exposed to socializing with other dogs, people and visiting new and different places under careful supervision. Moreover, they gave me training afterwards on how to continue the pups new and improved behavior. I must say implementing their training techniques at home on my own has been quite effective. Thanks to them, b me and my pups are less stressed and happier now both at home and when we are out and about. My friend was even impressed when she came over that the pups were not barking when she came in which before was absolutely impossible. SMP Pets very consciously customized the rehabilitation and training to each dog's needs and they worked with me to continue the dogs' good behavior which is why I believe the training was so effective with them and most importantly, my pups even had a blast with their trainers, Brad and Theresa, for the 3 weeks they spent with them and they love them now. It was definitely worth it to have them trained and rehabbed by SMP Pets. What they tell you is that you must trust the process because if you do, amazing changes will happen for your dogs. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their dogs to be trained or rehabbed. I am so satisfied with the results I've seen in my pups. They are happier, more joyful dogs now which is more than I could ever ask. This company is definitely worth the time and the money.

If youre like us and seem to only adopt the dogs that are sweet snugglers, and great listeners at home with their faves but lil punks when meeting other dogs, so to avoid the embarrassment you just cross the street and kiss long walks on the beach goodbye then you need SMP Paws. For the first time all 3 of our rescue pups are the good dogs! Looking unamused at the drama dogs and walking away with disinterest. No more crossing the street to avoid friendly encounters, no more hoping theyll behave. SMP Paws helped us understand how to really be there for our pups and this wont make sense until you experience it yourself but, we trust our dogs now. Every pup comes with a unique set of fears, SMP in the most gentle way encourage the pups to face their individual fears. We have a very busy life and home. They helped us as a family to understand what our pups need from us in heightened situations. It feels so, so good to move past a frustrating bad dog perception to an I got this and I got you pup place. Brad & Theresa, were so grateful!
